How I keep several WordPress sites under control

This is a sample post, written to test the new blog. It is hidden from Google.

I have been building websites since 2016, and running more than one at the same time taught me a few habits the hard way.

Three habits that help

1. Take a backup first. Before touching a site, plugin or database.
2. Keep each site focused. One site, one clear job.
3. Write things down. Future me forgets what past me did.

A small example

Before I update anything, I run a quick check like this:

npm run build

If it passes, I move on. If not, I fix it before anything goes live.
